J. Malan Heslop (died today, 2011) was a combat photographer during World War II, where he was one of the first American photographers to document evidence of Nazi war crimes and the prisoners at the Ebensee concentration camp. After the war, he joined the Deseret News and held the position of chief photographer for 20 years.
