The Weight of Everything

Fans of the award-winning novel, Where I Belong, will be happy to know that the newest book by its author, Marcia Argueta Mickelson comes out this month. The Weight of Everything tells a story of a young girl who struggles to keep her family afloat after the death of their mother. In her grief, she undertakes a school project that causes her to learn about her mother’s Mexican and Guatemalan heritage. Publishers Weekly previews the book, "Through Sarah’s tentative steps toward healing, Mickelson (Where I Belong) attentively showcases the mending power of tenderness, patience, and love in this moving read. Ages 12–up.” Marcia Argueta Mickelson immigrated to the US as an infant. After graduating from Brigham Young University, she has already published five novels.
