Jacob’s sons go to Egypt to buy grain, and Joseph, now governor of Egypt, tests them without revealing his identity. A silver cup is planted in Benjamin's sack, allowing Joseph's brothers’ to protect their youngest brother and demonstrate how they have changed. Joseph reveals himself to his brothers and assures them that God turned their evil actions into good. Jacob moves his family to Egypt, trusting in God’s guidance and provision during the famine. Joseph manages Egypt’s food supply, storing and distributing grain to preserve life. Prophetic blessings are bestowed by Joseph to each of his sons.
Concerning the trials of his life, Joseph said that God meant it unto good. God may work through hardship, betrayal, and human mistakes to accomplish His purposes. Just as he will work through forgiveness, love, and service to others. God remains present, guiding, protecting, and preparing His people for His larger plan.
