Jesus Christ performed many miracles during his earthly ministry. He healed the leper, walked on water, gave the blind their sight, and calmed the sea. Christ's miracles were often personal and intimate. To end his earthly ministry Christ performed the atonement, culminated by his resurrection, ultimately freeing all mankind from the holds of sin and death. This miracle, too, is personal and intimate. The power of the atonement and the hope of the resurrection can be sought, felt, and called upon by everyone.

Gospel Questions

1. How should the knowledge of a resurrected savior with a body of flesh and blood impact your daily relationship with Him?

2. Prophets and apostles have spoken about the power of the atonement. How do you call upon that power in the midst of your struggles? Do you call upon that power for others?

3. The risen Christ appeared to two of his disciples along the Road to Emmaus, but they didn't initially recognize him. How might your relationship with Christ grow if you sought him outside, on the road?

For Children and Youth

1. When Jesus was resurrected, He visited friends and disciples. How do you think they celebrated his resurrection? How should we?
